2024 El Lugar Green Gate SLO Coast Pinot Noir Blanc

“This so fresh and so clean bright and gracefully elegant wine is from Green Gate Ranch and Vineyard in San Luis Obispo near Price Canyon Road. It was gently harvested on September 6th, 2024 and is clone 459, Block 24. It was carefully picked at 23.5-24 Brix and immediately pressed off its delicate skins. It was fermented and aged in stainless steel barrels along with a touch of seasoned French oak. The perfect 13.4% alcohol, brings the perfect balance of eloquent buzz with a high-class mindset. There were only eighty seven cases produced of this unique coastal gem, so get on it!”

2021 Carlson Edna Valley Albariño

“This first vintage Albariño came from the Davenport Creek Vineyard, once known as Paragon Vineyard which is located in one of the oldest vineyards in the Edna Valley in San Luis Obispo. The lovely aroma of stone fruit, guava and mango are appearent yet subtle. There is a crisp mineral component that is well balanced and followed by a palate of medium to light weight. You can pair this wine with grilled shrimp, scallops and anything prepared with a tropical island flair. The alcohol is a pleasant 13.3% with 149 cases produced. The fermentation happened in stainless steel using a yeast that enhances varietal fruit characteristics. This wine defines what Edna Valley has to offer the community and beyond.”

2023 Sinor La-Vallee SLO Coast Pinot Noir

“This half Bassi Vineyard which is 1.2 miles from the Pacific ocean was biodynamically farmed and the other half comes from Twine Creeks Vineyard which is given direct coastal breezes from Price Canyon which features heavy clay soils. The grapes for this wine were picked at an average of 24.5 Brix between the two fascinating vineyards. 12% was whole cluster fermented and 12% used carbonic fermentation. They used partially native yeast which took place in French oak without any fining or filtering. I loved the Cherry Vanilla Cola, Pomegranate and finely integrated tannins.”
